LADIES SECTION ( comp details below)
This little gem of a Golf Course has a friendly Ladies Section, which has Tuesday as its Ladies Day, when Members take part in fun and serious competitions (Medals, stablefords and a variety of Trophy Competitions). The Working ladies play their Medal/stableford competitions at the weekend. The Competition Board looks very busy in the welcoming Ladies Room at the Club. At the end of the main competition season the Ladies have a Presentation Evening rounding off the evening with a Dinner provided by our superb Steward and Catering Staff.
The Ladies Section holds two Open Competitions each year, the Ladies AM-AM in July and a 3 Ball Alliance held in August. The Ladies also organise a Mixed Open during June and take part in many National Prestigious competitions - the Daily Mail Foursomes, the Peugeot Coronation Foursomes, and many more.
We have a flourishing Bridge Section, (particularly when the weather is not quite so kind), along with 2 Charity Bridge Drives during the year.
The Droitwich League, for Handicaps of 21 and under, hold 5 competitions during the season and there are 12 inter-club for the higher handicappers - up to 36. Special Club nights are held on a Wednesday evening twice monthly throughout June, July and August, a 9 hole friendly competitions followed by Supper.
During the year there are 7 Mixed competitions mainly held at the Weekends, along with the Frank Vincent Trophy - Knockout Competition - played from May to September. The exception is the Midsummer Madness, not for the faint hearted - an early start of 4.30am finished off with Bucks Fizz and a Full English breakfast!
To complement the super Golf facilities the Club host many Social events throughout the year, usually accompanied by wonderful food and great company. and we raise money each year for a Charity of the lady Captain's choice, this year The Admiral Nurses are the nominated Charity.

STABLEFORD : 31ST AUGUST
33 ladies played in a Stableford competition the winners were Silver Div. Annie Bird 37 points, runner up Jean Bevan 33 points, Bronze A. Sally Deakin 41 points, runner up Lesley Kewley 38 points, Bronze B. Valerie Bomford 34 points, runner up Frances Wilkinson 31 points.
LADY CAPTAIN'S AWAY DAY : STRATFORD OAKS : 27TH AUGUST
36 ladies in teams of three battled for the wonderful prizes in a competition where the best two scores counted on each hole and all three scores on Par 3s. The lucky ,or should I say skillful, ones were 1st place Melanie Evans, Wendy Perks and Margaret Whiteford with 80 points 2nd place ( on a count back) Ruth Masters, Angela Fletcher, Jean Roberts 74 points. 3rd place Annie Bird, Jenny Masser, Valerie Bomford with 74 points. The Longest Drive went to Sally Deakin and Nearest the pin to Vina Kite. Everyone enjoyed a splendid day out and the lovely meal that followed.
MEDAL : 24TH AUGUST
The winners were Div. 1 Joan Hunt nett 72, runner up Annie Bird nett. 81 Div. 2 Jill Cleary nett. 67, runner up Lin Andrew nett. 71 and Div. 3 Frances Wilkinson nett.72, runner up Pat Ogle nett77
ST RICHARD'S HOSPICE CUP : 27TH JULY
On Tuesday 27th July 36 ladies took part in the St Richard's Hospice Cup stableford competition. The proceeds from the day being donated to the hospice. The winner was Eunice Allen with 41 points and the runner up was our lovely summer visitor from Italy Sandra Piovesana with 40 points. Photogragh click here
LADIES AM-AM : 22ND JULY
Ladies from 18 Clubs competed in the Evesham Ladies Am-Am Competition which, owing to the thundery weather in the afternoon, was reduced to 9 holes. The team of P Saville, G Spencer, P Ogle and J Edmunds from Evesham Golf Club won with a score of 46 points. The team made up of members from Evesham, Broadway and The Vale Golf Clubs - C Washbourne, G Maton, J Witts and B McLaren - was second with a score of 42, after a countback from the team from Bishampton Court Golf Club of C Jones, A Cooper, L Coghill and M Murphy. The prize for nearest to the pin was won by Norma Hall from Lilley Brook Golf Club and the straightest drive by Mary Murphy from Bishampton Court Golf Club. The Club's catering manager Tess and her team provided an excellent buffet meal to round off a wet but successful competition.
LADY CAPTAIN'S DAY : 20TH JULY
A re-run of the event held on 8th July 2010 cancelled to severe weather, with a format of a stableford competition for teams of three and won by Verity Lawrance, Beryl Osborne and Lesley Kewley with a score of 94 points. The team of Ruth Masters, Jenny Masser and Pam Hutcheon scored 88 points to come second, and Melanie Evans, Audrey Tomkins and Frances Wilkinson came third with 87 points. Pam Hutcheon won the prize for nearest-the- pin and Annie Bird won the prize for the straightest drive. The ladies enjoyed a Pimms and Strawberry Tea afterwards, and the Lady Captain, Helen Cross, presented the prizes.
STABLEFORD : 13TH JULY
Played in very wet conditions. In the first Division, for ladies with a handicap of 25 or lower, Gillian Spencer came first with a score of 38 and Annie Bird was the runner-up with a score of 35 points. Josie Witts scored 40 points to win the second Division, for ladies with a handicap between 26 and 34, and Gillian Smith scored 37 points to come second. The third Division, for ladies with handicaps of 35 and 36, was won by Pat Saville with a score of 36 points from Lesley Kewley with a score of 34 points.
LADIES CHAMPIONSHIP : 4TH & 6TH JULY
On the 4th and 6th July 2010, the ladies competed for their Club Championship played over 36 holes in a Stableford format. The winner of the Gross Trophy, presented by Beryl Osborne, was Jackie Edmunds with a score of 176 strokes and Joan Hunt was the runner-up with 180 strokes. In the Nett Competition, Margaret Williams scored 135 points to win from Lyn Andrew who scored 145 points. The parallel friendly competition was won by Lesley Kewley with a score of 42 points from Shirley Waite with a score of 39 points. After the conclusion of the Competition, the ladies enjoyed an excellent dinner in the Clubhouse.
CRAYCOMBE TROPHY & AVON TROPHY : 29TH JUNE
In the Craycombe Trophy for players with a handicap of 28 or below, Jenny Marston won with a net score of 39 points from Joan Hunt who scored 38 points. In the Avon Trophy for players with a handicap between 29 and 36, Jane Bagley with a score of 41 points won the competition from Pam Pike who scored 37 points.
LISA LIGHTFOOT SALVER & ROSE BOWL : 22ND JUNE
Two competions were played on the same day.
The Lisa Lightfoot Salver for the player with the lowest gross total was won by Joan Hunt with a round of 91 strokes by just one shot from Anne Cowley. Sadly, Lisa Lightfoot was unable to join the ladies for tea and present her trophy. The Rose Bowl for the player with the lowest net score was won by Margaret Williams with a net score of 70 strokes from Ruth Masters with a score of 73 strokes. Helen Cross, the Club and Ladies Captain, presented the trophies to the winners. The Friendly medal competition was played in 3 Divisions. The Silver Division was won by Jackie Edmunds, the Bronze A Division by Gillian Spencer and the Bronze B Division by Sue Taylor. Joan Hunt achieved the lowest number of putts in all 3 competitions with a tally of 28 putts.
MEDAL : 15TH JUNE
In the Silver Division, Annie Bird with a score of 73 net strokes was the winner from Ruth Masters who went round in 76 strokes. Sally Deakin came first in the Bronze A Division with a score of 72 net strokes just pipping Margaret Williams after a countback. Marlene Billings won the Bronze B Division with 82 net strokes from Beryl Osborne once again after a countback. In the Putting Competition, covering all divisions, Dinah Wood won with 28 putts, after another countback, from Annie Bird and Carol Yates.
LADIES INVITATION DAY : 3RD JUNE
On a glorious Summer's Day, the Ladies their held their Invitation Day on 3 June 2010 which was a great success. The team of Margaret Williams and Sharon Fell took first prize in the main competition (see photo above), Jean Bevan and Chris Roberts were second and Pat Saville and Jan Gaccatt were third. Conryn Abbott and Annes Sutcliffe won the prize for the best front nine and Pam Hutcheon and Helen Partridge were the prizewinners for the best back nine. Respectively, Joan Hunt and Selina Hopkins achieved closest to the pin by an Evesham member and a guest player, and Dinah Wood and Chris Roberts were similarly the Evesham and guest winners of the longest drive. Admiral Nurses, the Ladies Captain's chosen charity, will benefit from the proceeds of the raffle.
STABLEFORD : 1ST JUNE
The Ladies played in a Stableford Competition in 3 Divisions with Division 1 being won by Ruth Masters with a score of 38 from Annie Bird who scored 36. Eunice Allen with a score of 35 just pipped Melanie Evans by one point in Division 2, and Audrey Piddington won Division 3 and Helen Cross was the runner-up.
RAY TILL GOBLETS : 25TH MAY 2010
With a score of plus 4, the team of Jennie Marston and Carol Yates came first after a countback from Joan Hunt and Val Bomford. The prizes were presented by Jackie Edmunds - the daughter of Ray Till and a member of the Ladies Section. In the parallel friendly par competition, Patsy Brumage and Gill Rose won with a score of minus 2 and Jane Bagley and Angela Fletcher were the runners-up.
