The competition is a qualifying Stokeplay contest over 18 holes. Running along side the competition is the Flag Competition. This consists of every player combining the course par score 72 with 95% of their playing handicap i.e. 25 (72+25=97 shots) The lead group takes out the flag and places it when the best player exhausts their allotted shots. Groups behind will move the flag on if anyone can beat this position etc etc. The competition always starts and finishes at the 18th tee. The winner was Reg Evans (Seniors Competition Secretary). Reg still had 3 shots remaining so played down the 18th again finishing his round 1 metre from the pin. It’s his first individual Golf Trophy ever.
