On Wednesday 8th July the Evesham Senior Men held their David Taylor Flag Competition. It is Strokeplay played over 18 holes. Players score by adding the course handicap together with their playing handicap i.e. 72 + 28 = 100 and that is their stroke limit. The idea is the lead group take out the flag and place it at the very spot their ball reaches their stroke limit. If the next group along can beat this target they pick up the flag and advance it until they reach their limit and so on. The winner is the one who advances the flag the furthest. This year we had an incredible 4 way tie where their final stroke putted the ball into the 17th hole (having started on the 18th). The winners were Dave Rose, Paul Buckley, Gordon Robertson and Tony Edgworth (not pictured).
