Today saw the first of the 2025 Trophy and Cup Competitions. The Linford Competition was an 18 hole Stableford Competition played off the yellow tees. It started off ok with dark clouds but the weather turned and we experienced a wet and damp ending. This didn’t deter one of our stalwarts ,Tony Edgworth, from returning a score of 39pts. Well done Tony.

4th Mark Baker 34pts – £6 (on countback)
Well done to new member Mike Townsend for his impressive start. The nearest the ‘Pin’ on the 9th hole was won by Matthew Cowley. The raffle was won by Colin Hussell – a bottle of wine donated by Steve Metcalf. He also got a 2 on the temporary 6th green. Impressive!!
