Golfers gathered at Evesham Golf Club on Saturday the 27th of May to contest the delayed Duc’s Cup and May Medal. Previously scheduled for early May the re-scheduled competition saw golfers compete for the monthly medal in two divisions as well as a top 8 qualification that would enter them in the knockout phase for the Duc’s Cup. Part of the FLOM, conditions were excellent with fast running fairways and superbly presented green’s. Scores reflected the challenging conditions with few golfers playing to their handicaps.
Division Two saw John Nash finish 3rd with 71, Dave Morris 2nd with an excellent 69, whilst the winner on count back also with 69 was Evesham Golf Club former Captain Ian Tyrrell with a gross 84/net 69. Division One was similarly hard fought with Dave Higgo Higgins in 3rd place with a 71, Andrew Witts in 2nd with a 70 and the winner with an excellent gross 78/nett 68 in form Michael Haughtey.
