A traditional event played every August the Captain’s Putter is a unique competition open only to past Club Captains of Evesham Golf Club.

The latest installement of this annual event took place on Friday 16th August with former Club Captains meeting up to play an indivigual stableford event.

On a warm and sunny afternoon with the course in excellent condition, 11 past captains along with the current captain and vice captain fired into action. It was once again a keenly fought competition with many rivalries renewed.   Upon the return to the clubhouse for a change of attire and an excellent meal and the customary round of port or 2 the current Club Captain (Mark New) confirmed the final result.

In 2nd place and just loosing out once again was Tony Fawcett.  The winner, once again, for the umpteenth time Mr Geoff Insall. Well played Geoff.
