On Saturday the 19th of August members and visitors gathered at Evesham Golf Club to compete in a better ball stableford Competition for the Raymond Gray Trophy. Teams comprised men/men, men/women mixed pairings in an attempt to win one of the more prestigious pairs competitions in the club golfing calendar. The competition is played  in memory of Raymond Gray the former greenskeeper/club professional who had a direct involvement in the club for over 80 years man and boy. Conditions were breezy but thankfully for once the rain that has plagued the weekends throughout the summer stayed away. Scoring reflected this however after a nail biting last 4 holes the winners with a excellent score of 44 points pipping three groups on 43 were Michael Callaghan and the Captain Paul Sharpe repeating his previous win as a visitor with Jerry Cain  from way back in 2003.
